This is a print of my original watercolor and ink illustration of Peacefield, the retirement home of President John and Abigail Adams. It was originally built in 1731 for Leonard Vassall, and the Adamses purchased it in 1787. Upon their return from political service in Europe in 1788, they settled into the home and farmland, and began expanding the home and outbuildings. After John Adams died in 1826, his son and also future president, John Quincy Adams, inherited the property and lived there until his death. Many generations of Adamses lived and added to the home and land, until it was given to the National Parks Service in 1946. It continues to operate as a historical site and museum, open most of the year for tours.

Available in two sizes, your print will ship via USPS Ground Advantage with insurance and tracking (included in price). The print will be packed in a clear protective sleeve and backing paper, and will be shipped with rigid cardboard to minimize possibility of damage.
