This is an original painting I created recently called Green Flash…I’ve been wanting to paint a green flash sunset for a while now. If you’re not familiar with this phenomenon, it occurs over the Pacific Ocean, and is caused by the way light refracts in the atmosphere during sunset. It is only visible for 1-2 seconds, but is oftentimes visible to the naked eye. While I’ve never seen one in person, it is something that I’d love to see one day!
This painting measures roughly 6” x 6” (actual size is 5 7/8” x 5 7/8”) and is painted on 100% cotton watercolor paper, using professional watercolor paints and sparkly watercolor paints. The sparkly paint is used for accents, so it doesn’t overwhelm the painting, but it does make it a little special. It does not include a mat or frame—you’re just purchasing the painting itself.
Domestic shipping is included in the price, and it will ship either USPS or UPS. I pack all of my artwork with rigid cardboard and protective clear sleeves to minimize the chance of damage during shipping. If you have any questions, feel free to message me!
