The Alamo (San Antonio, TX)

This is a print of my original watercolor painting of the Alamo, located in San Antonio, Texas. After recently moving to San Antonio, I visited the Alamo for a day and was struck by the history of the place. I had to paint it! While the Alamo is most well known as the final stand for David Crockett and the defenders of Texas, it actually has a long history, and is almost 300 years old. It’s one of the first permanent buildings constructed in present-day San Antonio. A symbol of Texan independence and resourcefulness, this is one of the most well-known sites in all of Texas. An average of four million visitors walk through the complex every year. Now you can own a commemorative artwork print symbolizing Texas pride!

The text is a famous quote from David Crockett: “In my last canvass, I told the people of my District, that if they saw fit to re-elect me, I would serve them as faithfully as I had done; but if not, they might go to hell, and I would go to Texas.” Please note that the greeting cards are blank inside, and only have my name and website on the back of the cards. No frames or mats are included in this listing.

I will print your purchase at the time of order, and it will be packed in a clear protective sleeve. Prints will have a white border around the edges to make it easier to frame. It will be unframed and ready for you to mat and frame to your taste. I ship USPS Ground Advantage. Your print will be packaged in a protective bubble mailer with rigid cardboard for protection.
